“SCENOGRAFIA E DESIGN 2018” AWARD

During the David di Michelangelo Award given to Renzo Arbore for his career,

the “Scenografia e Design 2018” Award

goes to Giovanni Licheri and Alida Cappellini

for their work.

For some years they have been creating a furniture line: Miami Swing by Renzo Arbore, a line for Midj.
For San Patrignano they begin in 2010 a collaboration with some elements of furniture presented in Paris and Milan. For Sicis next Art’s new collection “Foglie” exhibited at the Milan design exhibition 2013.

Among the many works made for Rai, the scenes for shows like “Indietro tutta” and “Marisa la Nuit”, “Doc”, “Meno siamo meglio stiamo” by Renzo Arbore, “Quelli che il calcio” until 2008, “Artù“ with Gene Gnocchi and “La grande Notte del Lunedì”, several editions of “Domenica In (Il Castello)” with Baudo.

Many the sets design in theatre, among these a few works by Gigi Proietti: “A me gli occhi Bis”, “La capannina”, “Il Kean”, “Per Amore e per Diletto”,
“Il Mistero dei bastardi assassini”, directed by Guglielmo Ferro, with Arturo Brachetti and Monica Scattini. “Aldo Trionfo: L’Usuraio e la Sposa Bambina”, Teatro Di Roma,
in Genova the implantation in the church of St. Augustine: “Genova la mia scena”, for Teatro della Tosse, collage of several writers among these Luzzati, Renzo Piano and many others.
Among the last works in theatre “La commedia di Orlando, with Isabella Ragonese and Erika Blank, Teatro Argentina in Rome, Scenes e Costumes, (2012)
“Non è Vero ma ci credo” comedy by Peppino de Filippo, directed by Michele Mirabella, Scenes e Costumes (2013/2014)
“Qualcosa Rimane”, directed by Monica Guerritore, since February 2015 in many Italian theatres.

Many films and fictions with directors like Corbucci, Capitani, Franz Weisz, Peter del Monte, Neri Parenti.

Many works in different Italian theatres, among these: “Elisir D’Amore” (2009) by G. Donizzetti at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari (scenes e costumes) directed by Michele Mirabella and for Lirico in Salerno.
The Barber of Seville” opens the 2010 season at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari directed by MicheleMirabella (Scenes e costumes).

The exhibition about “Alcide De Gasperi” from October 2003 at the Vittoriano in Rome, still traveling inItaly and Europe (Berlin at Eidenauer Foundation, Strasbourg at the European Parliament), and theexhibition of Emanuele Luzzati in Genoa in the church of St. Augustine. The permanent exhibition(made by and project) “Perché Cinecittà” and “Girando a Cinecittà” at the executive building ofCinecittà, Rome. The exhibition about Renzo Arbore, made by and project, at Pelanda, MacroTestaccio, Rome in December 2015.

Some of their design elements were chosen for the exhibition of Art and Design “ITALIAN GENIUS NOW BACK TO ROME” at the exhibition grounds of MACRO- Rome and the Shanghai sofa is present at the Italian Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
